چکیده

Background: Sepsis is a major cause of mortality in neonatal. Diagnosing neonatal sepsis challenge, as its clinical symptoms are not specific. Various studies have been conducted to identify infection markers for early identification sepsis, but none shown satisfactory results. Therefore, we aimed determine the validity eosinophil count and monocyte lymphocyte ratio (MLR) detection sepsis. Objective: To Methods: This study was retrospective with diagnostic test. Data were collected from medical records neonates early-onset (EONS) or clinically EONS who admitted Neonatal Ward Sanglah Hospital between April 2020 December 2020. The ROC curve used cut-off point MLR. Furthermore, chi-squared test sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV Results: total sample 100 subjects, 28 subjects had positive blood culture (28%). (cut-off 0.16x103/µL 160 cell/mm3) produced sensitivity 57.14%, specificity 65.28%, PPV 39.02%, 79.66%. At value 0.38, MLR 67.86%, 72.22%, 48.72%, 85.25%. Conclusion: Children obesity found be significantly related elevated pressure (hypertension).

Evaluation of CD64 Expression on Peripheral Blood Neutrophils for Early Detection of Neonatal Sepsis

Background: Neonatal sepsis is a life-threatening disease with an incidence of 1 to 10 per 1000 live births and a mortality rate of 15% to 50%. The clinical signs are non-specific and indistinguishable from those caused by a variety of neonatal noninfectious disorders. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the importance of CD64 expression (FcgRI), a neutrophil surface marker, in ea...

Eosinopenia and Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio as diagnostic tools in neonatal early onset sepsis -a single center observational study

Background and Objective: Neonatal sepsis is associated with high mortality and has a favourable outcome when recognized and treated in a timely manner. In resource-limited settings, there is a need for an affordable test with a short turnaround time for timely diagnosis of sepsis. The aim of this study was to find out the role of eosinopenia and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in screenin...

Neutrophil/Lymphocyte Ratio, Lymphocyte/Monocyte Ratio, and Absolute Lymphocyte Count/Absolute Monocyte Count Prognostic Score in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

The neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), lymphocyte/ monocyte ratio (LMR), and absolute lymphocyte count/absolute monocyte count prognostic score (ALC/AMC PS) have been described as the most useful prognostic tools for patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). We retrospectively analyzed 148 Taiwanese patients with newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma under rituximab (R)-CHOP-...

Evaluation of Immature Neutrophil Ratio and Calprotectin Level for the Diagnosis of Neonatal Sepsis

Background: Sepsis is defined as a systematic inflammatory reaction against infection. Despite the recent advances in medical and pediatric sciences, sepsis remains a significant life-threatening health issue. The main problem associated with this disorder is the nonspecific and non-discriminative symptoms of noninfectious diseases. The present study aimed to introduce diagnostic parameters of ...

Prognostic Validity of Red Cell Distribution Width in Neonatal Sepsis

Background Neonatal sepsis is one of the most critical illness in neonates that is responsible for a great proportion of morbidity and mortality in neonates so early diagnosis and identification of high risk cases is a challenging aim of our study. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of red cell distribution width (RDW), in neonatal sepsis at the time of admission ...
